Event narrative

Water was reported over the roads in several locations across the northern portions of the county. Road and bridge damage was being observed. At 330 pm, a fatal accident occurred on HWY 377 north of Whitesboro.

Wider weather episode

Several rounds of severe thunderstorms affected areas along and south of the Red River beginning the morning of the 29th into the early morning hours of the 30th. Significant flooding occurred in Montague, Cooke, and Grayson County.
