A strong thunderstorm brought nickel size hail and heavy rain with some local urban type flooding. Strong winds brought down 3 trees, two of which were 60 feet tall. The third downed tree was 10 inches in diameter.

Wider weather episode

Monsoonal moisture and strong surface heating fueled thunderstorm development on this day, and some of them achieved severe status with strong winds and large hail.
