What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A severe thunderstorm produced multiple brief EF-0 tornadoes along a more than 50 mile path from Muskegon county northeast through Newaygo county into Mecosta county. The tornadoes were on the ground for very short periods of time. Mostly tree damage was incurred but there was also damage to several buildings and fences.

The wider storm

Severe thunderstorms developed during the afternoon hours of November 17th in advance of a strong cold front. The storms blew down and uprooted numerous trees across lower Michigan, caused numerous power outages, significant straight line wind damage and even several brief weak EF-0 tornadoes.

Began near Grant (43.2962, -85.8115).
