Two young women were killed when a tree fell on their car near Blythe Island along State Road 303 near the entrance to the regional park.

A tragic accident occurred when a tree was blown down onto a car. Both passengers were fatally injured. Winds were sustained between 20-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. A lake wind advisory was in effect.
