Wider weather episode
As an arctic cold airmass settled over the area, widespread light freezing drizzle developed and resulted in a thin glaze of ice on roads and walkways across a large part of West Central Texas throughout the morning. Many school districts and government offices in Abilene, San Angelo, Brownwood, Brady, Haskell, and surrounding areas closed for the day.
