Large northwest swell, generated by a powerful Pacific storm, produced heavy surf along west facing beaches of Central and Southern California. North of Point Conception, widespread surf of 10 to 13 feet with local breakers to 15 feet was reported. South of Point Conception, widespread surf of 6 to 9 feet with local breakers to 12 feet was reported.
