A wildfire ignited on August 17th...20 miles west of Quincy in the steep terrain of the Feather River Canyon. The fire was pushed by strong winds for several days and significantly impacted Hwy 70 and the Bucks Lake Wilderness area. Only one structure (an out-building) was lost but 46280 acres were burned.
