A cold Pacific Storm brought 4 to 6 inches of snow to the mountains. Traces of snow fell at elevations below 1000 feet. Hail accumulated to several inches deep along the San Diego County coastal mesas. Several semi-tractor trailers jack-knifed or overturned in the snow and rain during the morning and afternoon commute hours, causing major highways to be closed.
