A 27 foot boat was broadsided by a 7 foot wave southwest of the entrance to Oceanside Harbor. The fifteen occupants were thrown into the water. Two men suffered major injuries, three others had minor injuries.

A small sailboat was flipped over by heavy surf near the mouth of the Oceanside Marina. Another boat that went to rescue almost capsized before it was towed to safety by the Harbor Patrol.
Eight foot seas and 35 knot winds caused a mast to break on a 22 foot sailboat and throw the crew of two overboard. The crew were rescued, but the disabled boat was destroyed against the Ocean Beach Pier by 10 foot breaking waves.
