Event narrative
Heavy rain washed out the road to Thunder Mountain on the east side of Monumental Summit.
Wider weather episode
A very moist upper level trough moved eastward from California into southern Idaho during the aftenoon and evening. This system spawned numerous severe thunderstorms and wide spread heavy rain which caused flash flooding mainly in the mountains.
