A warm front moved over the southern Panhandle on the evening of Jan 6th. Warm moist air moved over colder air trapped at the head of Portland Inlet near Stewart B.C. and Hyder Alaska. The caused heavy snow on Jan 6th and Jan 7th, but elsewhere in the are it was heavy rain.
