A very large long-period westerly swell combined with high astronomical tides to produce coastal flooding along the beaches of Southern California. At Goleta Pier in Santa Barbara County, 15 foot waves flooded the parking lot. In Ventura County, large waves flooded the Pacific Coast Highway and brought debris across the roadway. In Los Angeles County, Venice Pier reported damage to their lifeguard facility and a flooded public restroom. At Manhattan Beach in Los Angeles County, a boulder moved by the waves injured a bicyclist.
