Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms with heavy rain and small hail developed early in the afternoon across much of Modoc County. Rainfall rates exceeded an inch and a half per hour in northern Modoc County near Newell. Many cases of small stream flooding with water covering roads were reported county-wide. One house was sand-bagged for rising water.
