Strong northwest winds developed across Central and Southern California. Sustained wind speeds of at least 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph were reported. Widespread power outages and felled trees were reported. In Camarillo, a downed power line sparked a small house fire. In Long Beach, a tree was felled, blocking two lanes of the 710 Freeway. On Catalina Island, the Catalina Island Yacht Club reported severe wind damage to their quarter deck.
