Strong northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph produced locally rough seas in Morro Bay. One wave flipped a boat, throwing five adults and two children into the water. Unfortunately, both children drowned.

Gusty northeast winds knocked down power lines and small trees in the community of Morro Bay. Wind speeds were estimated between 25 and 35 mph with local gusts as high as 60 mph.
