The Georgia Department of Transportation reported trees blown down onto the roadway along Highway 22 near Carters Ford Road and along I-20 near mile marker 152.

A very moist and moderately unstable airmass over the region, combined with strong daytime heating and a series of weak short waves moving over the state, resulted in scattered severe thunderstorms each afternoon and evening.
