Heavy snow for Hyder. New 6 to 8 inches 0800 to 1900 Sunday. Storm total 0800 Saturday 12/17 to 1900 Sunday 12/18 was 21 inches. Impact was snow removal.

Wider weather episode

A strong front moved onto the coast on the afternoon of Sunday 12/18. This system brought heavy snow to the Northern Lynn Canal area including the highways and to the Misty Fjords area into Monday 12/19. A second front on the on the heels of the first one brought another shot of snow to the Haines Highway on 12/20. No damage reported. Impact was snow removal operations.
