High elevation snowfall amounts were 11 inches at Dollarhide Summit, 10 inches at Galena and Galena Summit, 12 inches at Lost Wood Divide, and 16 inches at Vienna Mine. Six car crashes were reported in Blaine County.
Wider weather episode
Ten to 20 inches of snow was common across portions of the central mountains and Upper Snake River Highlands on December 4th. Some school districts closed on December 5th due to the heavy snowfall.
