A wildfire began on June 8th and burned 500 acres east of Century High School in south Pocatello. the fire threatened several homes but evacuations were not required. The fire was human caused by stray bullets from target shooting in the hills near the high school. Firefighters and rain had the fire under control by late in the day on June 9th.
