An elderly woman who suffered from dementia succumbed to the elements as she left her home in the middle of the night and was exposed to temperatures in the teens. Her body was discovered within 50 yards of her home on 400 Dreamland Avenue in Crosby.

Wider weather episode

Rain turned into a wintry mix of across Southeast Texas. Overnight minimum temperatures fell into the teens to middle 20s.
