The National Park Service said around 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning, 57-year-old Carl Kaiser was trying to load his swamped tracker boat near the Fritch Fortress boat dock when it suddenly capsized.

Local CBS news media reported the following thunderstorm related Fatality: The National Park Service said around 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning, 57-year-old Carl Kaiser was trying to load his swamped tracker boat near the Fritch Fortress boat dock when it suddenly capsized. He then became trapped underneath the boat. NPS Rangers witnessed the incident and attempted to rescue Kaiser, but were unsuccessful.
