At 11:55 PM EST, a tree was reported down on the Putnam Pike in Glocester.
Wider weather episode
A cold front moved east from the Great Lakes on Monday October 15th. Strong southwest winds ahead of the front moved across Rhode Island during the late evening and night of the 15th, then became strong northwest after the cold front moved through. Winds then diminished on the morning of the 16th. Wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph were reported. There were several reports of trees and wires down.
