Pictures posted to social media showed coastal flooding from persistent south winds at Cypremort Point. Some roads were flooded with around 1 foot of water.
Wider weather episode
A cold front moved into then stalled over South Louisiana during the 13th. A very unstable air mass was in place south of the boundary an a few severe storms developed. Strong south winds also drove the tides up along the coast.
