Event narrative

Approximately two inches of water covered State Route 806 north of Battle Mountain. Traffic was limited on the roadway and alternative routes were taken.

Wider weather episode

An above average snowpack, combined with a wet month of May, produced additional runoff into area creeks and rivers. This slow, but continuous, runoff brought river levels to minor to moderate flood stage.
