Hail 1.0 inch in diameter was reported at the ODOT station 1 N Prospect. Trees were down as well. A Pacificorp employee who works at 1111 Mill Creek Drive in Prospect (about 1 mile southwest of downtown Prospect) reported 1 inch hail between 1515 PDT and 1520 PDT. The hail caused thousands of dollars of damage to 9 work vehicles and 4 personal vehicles.

Moist southerly flow combined with surface heating and an upper level disturbance to support widespread thunderstorms on this date. Some of these storms became severe.
