The Rogue River at Eagle Point rose above minor flood stage of 10.0 ft. at 16/1635 PST, peaked in minor flood stage at 16/1755 PST at 10.29 ft. It then fell below flood stage at 16/1905 PST.

There were several downed trees with a diameter of 4 to 6 in. and height of 20 to 30 ft. Downpours also caused a creek to overflow with flooding of a yard, orchard, and a basement.

A downed tree was reported with a 4 to 6 inch diameter trunk and height around 20 to 25 feet.

More than 2 dozen pine trees of 1 to 2 ft. diameter snapped or fell, as well as a 3.5 to 4 ft. diameter tree that fell and demolished a fence. A tree fell on a power line in Central Point, which destroyed a mobile home and caused a 15 acre wildfire.

An NWS employee reported standing water on Table Rock Road near TouVelle park. A spotter reported 3 mobile homes were surrounded by 1.5 feet of water at Elmhurst Street between Table Rock Road and Pinehurst Road.

Little Butte Creek at Eagle Point exceeded the flood stage of 10.0 feet at 09/2345 PST. The creek crested at 11.21 feet at 10/0315 PST. The creek fell below flood stage at 10/0745 PST.

An orchardist from a orchard near Talent reported a 50% loss of the pear crop due to hail damage. Estimated hail size was 0.5 to 1.0 inches judging from holes in the ground. The monetary value of the loss is not known.

A spotter 1 SSE Ruch reported 1 inch hail on Squires Peak at 07/1520 PST.

The Rogue River at Gold Ray exceeded flood stage during this interval. It crested at 12.23 feet at 02/1245 PST.

Numerous spotter reports of 24 hour rainfall totals exceeding an inch were received. The heaviest reported amount was 3.10 inches from a spotter 3SSE Ashland. There were a number of reports of urban flooding in the area.

The Squaw Peak RAWS recorded a gust to 53 mph at 1739 PST and a gust to 75 mph at 1839 PST. These gusts were associated with the outflow from a nearby storm.

This warning was issued based on radar reports. A threshold VIL density for 1 inch hail was determined with ground truth earlier in the day and this warning was issued based on radar returns exceeding that threshold. Therefore it is assumed that this storm produced 1 inch or larg…

Numerous trees were broken or uprooted when the squall line went through. ODOT reported Oregon Highway 62 was closed by fallen trees. A house, shed, and mobile home in Rogue River were destroyed by falling trees. Another house was destroyed in Jacksonville.

A spotter and a member of the public both reported street flooding in Central Point following a thunderstorm with heavy rain. A major intersection was flooded and some roads were closed for a brief period of time.

Lots of 1/2 inch hail with hail as large as 3/4 inches in diameter was reported by NWS contract workers on Biddle Road in Medford. Hail cracked their windshield while driving 30 mph.

A trained spotter 1 mile from the airport on Merriman Road reported hail that dented the roof of his car. He also measured 0.20 inches of rain.

Widespread 1 inch hail and heavy rain reported in the Prospect area.
