Event narrative
Tidal flooding within the St. Johns River flooded the steps of a pavilion along the River Walk near the FL Times Union Performing Arts Center. The tide gauge at the Acosta Bridge reported the river was in minor flood stage.
Wider weather episode
Minor to moderate coastal flooding occurred due to the combined of seasonally high King Tides and strong onshore flow around a local Nor'Easter that was offshore of the SE Atlantic coast. A high risk of rip currents with a high surf for the NE FL coast was in effect with breakers of up to 7 feet mainly from St. Augustine southward.
