Event narrative

Hyder observed a measured amount 9.6 inches of snow fell overnight. Snow had stopped as of observation time, but started again later. An additional 6 inches of snow were reported on the morning of the 27th and a power outage.

Wider weather episode

Strong synoptic front with 70 kt low level jet at 850 mb. Over-running caused snow at White Pass and in Hyder.
