Event narrative

Another round of winter weather moved through the area on the 14th and into the 15th. The hardest hit area during this storm was northern Clallam County, particularly near Port Angeles were 2 feet of new snow was reported.

Wider weather episode

Cold air spilled southward through the Fraser River Valley in mid-January, creating necessary antecedent conditions for the development of lowland snow as a weather system dropped down from Canada/Gulf of Alaska.
