Marine Exchange sensor at the Ketchikan Harbor measured numerous gusts over 60 mph for about 8 hours on Saturday the 25th, including a peak of 71 mph at 632 pm. The roof wind at the Ketchikan airport also recorded a peak gust of 60 mph at 1151 am.

Wider weather episode

The first in a series of storms causing high winds over a few days. Deepening low moved northward by Dixon Entrance, SW of POW, causing high winds in the Ketchikan area.
