A tornado touched down briefly near the intersection of CO 18 and U.S. Highway 385. No damage was observed.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms produced several brief landspout tornadoes in Sedgwick County. One unoccupied building sustained some damage while the rest touched down in open fields. In addition, thunderstorm wind gusts up to 70 mph were measured.
