Strong northeast winds occurred with the public reporting a 55 mph gust near Gannett and the mesonet reporting 50 mph just west of Hailey. Large tree limbs being shorn off trees reported in Bellevue.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front passed through eastern Idaho shifting southerly winds to northeasterly with sustained speeds over 40 mph and gusts over 50 mph widespread. Extensive traffic problems and damage occurred.
