The month started with Severe(D2) drought over just the far northeast. The end end of November, Extreme(D3) drought existed over the northeast with Severe(D2) elsewhere.

Continued very dry conditions across the region lead to severe to exceptional drought conditions to expand and worsen over southern New Mexico during the month of November.
