A peak gust of 67 mph was recorded on the White Sands Missile Range at the Brillo West site. The Pony site also recorded a gust of 63 mph.
Wider weather episode
An upper low and was moving through the Great Basin into the Four Corners region with strong west to southwest winds ahead of it. Wind gusts exceeded hurricane force with a peak gust of 83 mph reported at the White Sands Missile Range Main Post.
