Winds generally were gusting to 45 to 50 mph in the lower elevations of western Franklin County and closer to 55 mph at the highest elevations, based on information from surrounding areas. In Shelburne at 447 PM EDT (347 PM EST), a tree was down on wires on North Street.

An arctic cold front moved from north to south across southern New England during the afternoon and early evening, producing scattered snow squalls and strong west-northwest winds gusting to 45 to 55 mph.
