A maximum snowfall amount reported was 11.0 inches 2 miles southwest of Cloudcroft. Other reports included 10.4 inches in Sunspot and 7.3 inches in Cloudcroft.

Cold air remained in place behind an Arctic front that moved through the region on Valentine's Day while another upper trough was deepening as it crossed the southern Rockies. Snowfall amounts up to 11 inches were reported in the Sacramento Mountains.
