Event narrative
One person was killed in an accident on Interstate 90 near Tomah. The driver lost control on snow covered roads with the vehicle going into the median, flipping and coming to rest in the opposite lanes of traffic. The driver was ejected and struck by another car. COOP and volunteer snow observers reported that between a half and one inch of snow fell.

One person was killed when they lost control of the vehicle they were driving on snow covered roads. The accident happened on Interstate 90 near Tomah (Monroe County) on the morning of February 12th. The driver of the vehicle lost control with the vehicle entering the median, flipping and coming to rest in the opposite lanes of traffic. The driver was ejected and hit by a car. Snowfall reports indicate only light accumulations of a half to one inch occurred.
