A trained spotter in Hollis reported 6.1 inches of snowfall at 6:40 pm and still snowing.

Wider weather episode

A weak lee side low developed over the gulf with ocean effect enhancement causing significant snow rates over portions of the SW panhandle. The cold outflow resulted in dry snow with very high ratios.
