Heavy rain was reported in Placer County. Reported storm totals reached 10.7 just north of Little Grass Valley Reservoir to 12.34 inches reported by a CoCoRaHS station near Meadow Valley.

Wider weather episode

A strong early season storm brought record setting rainfall, flooding, strong winds, and mountain snow to interior Northern California from October 23rd through 26th. Widespread impacts were reported including: downed trees and powerlines, flooding, power outages, and closed roadways. All time record high calendar day rainfall amounts were recorded at Sacramento City of 5.44 inches, 5.41 inches at Sacramento Executive Airport, 10.40 inches at Blue Canyon. Daily rainfall records were also set at Redding Airport at 2.99 inches, 4.57 inches at Oroville Airport, and 4.13 inches at Sacramento international Airport.
