In Belchertown at 844 AM EST, a portion of Franklin Street was closed when a car hit a power pole due to icy roads. The pole had to be replaced by the utility company. No injuries were reported.

The wider storm

A weak low level jet caused an area of light freezing rain in western Massachusetts during the early morning hours. This led to a few traffic accidents.
