A Trained Spotter in Hyder reported that power is out in Hyder due to heavy snow causing a tree to fall into power lines. An estimate of 15 inches of new snow has fallen in Hyder.

Wider weather episode

A gale force low pressure system moved inland from the Gulf of Alaska bringing widespread snow to the northern Alaska Panhandle.
