A trained spotter in Gustavus reported 8.1 inches of new snow.

A large trough of low pressures in the Gulf of Alaska brought precipitation to Southeast Alaska. This was the second in a series of storms in an active period, as a jet streak allowed for enhanced precipitation rates over much of the northern Alaska Panhandle.
