Heavy snow reports in approximately nine hours included an estimated 10 inches of snow at Gulliver and 9 inches in Manistique. Schools were closed throughout southern Schoolcraft County on the 6th due to impacts from the heavy snow.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm tracking across the Upper Great Lakes brought widespread heavy snow to Upper Michigan from the 5th into the 6th.
