Event narrative

High winds were reported along the central Oregon coast with multiple reports of sustained winds of 40 to 60 mph and gusts to 60 to 80 mph. Peak wind gust of 93 mph was recorded in Lincoln City. Power outages were also reported for 4000 to 5000 customers near Lincoln City.

Wider weather episode

A strong Pacific front caused high winds along the coast and coast range, as well as strong winds through the Willamette Valley. Several reports of downed trees and branches as well as power outages for thousands of customers.
