Snow fell in the south Washington Cascades between December 10 and 13, with accumulations of 18 to 28 inches of snow reported. During this time there was a 12 hour period where 10 to 16 inches of snow fell early on the 11th.
Wider weather episode
The first major winter storm of the season dumped over a foot of snow in the Cascades. Much of the snow fell on the 11th in the higher elevations, then snow levels lowered enough to produce significant accumulations in many areas above 2500 feet.
