Coastal Gulf storm history

A 47 year old male from Georgia drowned in a rip current near the 3800 block of Cape San Blas Road.

Several swimmers were caught by a rip current at the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park and taken 150 to 200 yards from shore. One 14 year old boy drowned as a result.

Three men became trapped in a rip current off St. Joseph State Park. All three were pulled from the water. Two were transported to area hospitals and one of those was unable to be revived.

Dangerously cold wind chills of 10-15 degrees occurred.

In general, between 1 and 4 inches of snow fell across the county.
