Light snow falling across Brown county caused a motorist to lose control of her van and collide with a southbound semi truck on US-75 at the intersection of US-75 and HWY 36.

Estimated gusts near 60 mph near Powhattan.

Video taken by a storm chaser showed near zero visibilities in heavy falling and blowing snow and winds of 40-70 mph in Fairview Kansas on highway 36. This corresponded to area ASOS that showed visibilities also falling to between one half and one quarter mile.
