A light mix of wintry precipitation in the morning transitioned to freezing rain by the afternoon. Accumulations of at least 0.25 inches of ice were common across the parish and covered trees and power lines.
Sleet Sleet
Heavy sleet fell across the parish. Accumulations of up to four inches occurred, with also some snow having accumulated on top of the sleet. This resulted in icy roads, multiple traffic accidents and stranded motorists.
