The ASOS located at the Redwood Falls Municipal Airport reported gusty winds over 30 mph and visibility falling below one mile due to blowing snow.

Snowfall totals across the county were estimated around 3 to 6 inches. The highest report was 5.5 inches in Lucan. The snow was generally light and fluffy, and fell over a period longer than 24 hours.

A combination of snow and strong winds impacted the county Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Snowfall amounts around 1 to 2 inches were estimated across the county, and wind gusts around 40 to 50 mph were measured throughout the event at Redwood Falls Municipal Airport.

Law enforcement reported water over portions of US Highway 14 near Walnut Grove, to the point where road/lane markers cannot be seen.

Trained spotter reported a rotating wall cloud with a brief funnel cloud near Revere along CR 14.

ASOS station KRWF Redwood Falls AP measured a thunderstorm wind gust of 68 mph.

Several hours of light freezing rain resulted in accumulations up to 0.1 inch of flat ice. Additional snow accumulations up to 1 inch fell on top of the ice resulted in hazardous travel conditions Saturday into Sunday.

An estimated 1 to 5 inches of snow fell across the county with the highest amounts near Wabasso. Frequent gusts over 50 mph and heavy snowfall rates resulted in several hours of 1/4 mile visibility or less. These conditions resulted in hazardous travel while snow was falling.

A couple hours with wind chill below -35 observed at KRWF. Also, the wind chill dropped to -42 during the morning of the 18th at the MNDOT RWIS site near Milroy.

The ASOS located at the Redwood Falls Municipal Airport recorded an extreme wind chill of -37 degrees.

Interpolated snowfall analysis from CoCoRaHS reports showed three to five inches accumulation across the county.

Trees were down five miles east of Redwood Falls.

A total of 2.5 to 3.5 inches of rain fell from multiple rounds of thunderstorms. CoCoRaHS observers measured 3.0 inches in Lucan.

A band of rain changed over to snow, with visibility dropping to 1/4 mile. Northwest winds increased as the snow was ending, and temperatures fell below freezing. This led to icy roads with significant blowing snow. Several roads were closed.
