The tornado developed over Southeast Tate County. The tornado caused minor roof damage to a house in Tyro before moving into Marshall County.

Two high school students were killed when they tried to drive their vehicle across a flooded road. A few roads in the area were flooded.
Heavy rain produced flash flooding all across Tate County. Numerous roads were flooded as a result. A school bus accident occurred as a result of the flooding which resulted in seven injuries.
